Unesco World Heritage
Pro: A ghosttown, mysterious and intriguing charm, Unesco world heritage
Cons: No tourism ads/promotion, not good road connection neither means of transport
This little ghosttown is a Unesco world Heritage site. It is known as the 20th century Pompei and it is one of the most precious diamonds in the Salerno area. The history of Roscigno is curious, fascinating and deeply linked to its territory. A large number of photographers and reporter come here in order to make unique photos of this surreal scenery. It's a long way to get here because of the uneven road and almost complete lack of signpots but the history of this place is a magnet for all the adventure lovers: uncontaminated Cilento canyons, the cicadas sing and the unusual lonely inhabitant of Roscigno Vecchia.
